'We love him!' Young voters behind 'Moggmentum' champion Jacob Rees-Mogg for PM

YOUNG voters have heaped praise on prominent Brexiteer Jacob Rees-Mogg as the “Moggmentum” campaign gathers pace for him to become the next Tory leader.

The Tory backbencher has fast become a favourite online in recent months, with the announcement of his sixth child, Sixtus Dominic Boniface Christopher causing a stir on social media.
Fans of the Etonian, who admitted he had never changed a nappy in his life, told LBC why they were such big supporters.
Anne, 27, from Edinburgh, said: “I’m really passionate about Jacob Rees-Mogg – what a great character, he’s not afraid to be himself and I find that really refreshing.
“He’s not a politician who’s going to lie down and be what everyone wants him to be, he’s quite happy to be himself and stand up for what he believes in – even if that is wearing a double breasted suit!”
Another supporter, 23-year-old Sam, said young Tories “love” Mr Rees-Mogg.
He said: “I have a passion for football but also Jacob Rees-Mogg."
When asked if he could win over those leaning to the left of the political spectrum, Sam said: “Maybe not people who support  but definitely people who are thinking about getting into politics – younger Conservatives, they love him, I don’t see why not.”
Lydia, 24, told the station politicians’ backgrounds should not affect their success.
